I JUST HAD A HYSTERECTOMY JANUARY 15 2001. I FEEL BETTER THAN I EVER HAVE. I HAVE SUFFERED FROM ENDOMETRIOSIS FOR9 YEARS. I HAVE ONE CHILD AND SO DESPERATLY WANTED ANOTHER. AFTER HAVING MY DAUGHTER AND LOSING A TWIN WITH HER AND THEN GETTING PREGNANT AND HAVING A MISCARRIAGE. WE KEPT TRYING AND AT AN ULTRASOUND I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH POSSIBLE ENDO. UNTIL THAT TIME I HAD NEVER HEARD OF IT AND EVEN THOUGH I HAD SEVERE PAIN DOCS ALWAYS TOLD ME IT WAS NOTHING, I THEN WAS BEING TOLD IT WAS POSSIBLY WHAT WAS WRONG AND THEN THEY STARTED SHOVING MEDS AT ME I WAS ON DEPOT LUPRON, DEPOT PROVERA, BIRTH CONTROL PILLS. I THEN DECIDED TO GO TO A SPECIALIST WHO DID A LAP AND TOLD ME I HAD STAGE 3 ENDO. HE THEN GAVE MORE MEDS BUT TOLD ME I DID NOT HAVE A GOOD CHANCE TO HAVE A BABY SO I TOOK THE MEDS FOR AWHILE AND I JUST KEPT GETTING WORSE UNTIL I COULD NOT STAND IT AND THE ONLY OTHER CHOICE I HAD WAS THE HYSTERECTOMY. KNOWING THAT I COULD NOT SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE THIS WAY I DECIDED TO GO AHEAD WITH IT AND LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS THE HARDEST THING I EVER HAD TO DO WANTING A BABY AS BAD AS I DID.WHEN MY SURGERY WAS OVER AND THE PATHOLOGIST REPORTS CAME BACK THE ENDO HAD STARTED TURNING TO CANCER.GOD HAS AWAY OF WORKING THINGS OUT FOR THE BEST, JUST KEEP THAT IN MIND AND SAY A LITTLE PRAYER.
