Re: ady to conceive.From: Mindy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Mar 7 22:18:49 2001
Hi Ani! I wanted to share my experience with you in regards to Clomid and please forgive me if I speak strongly, but it's how I feel! I have heard that many women with endo have taken Clomid and have sucessfully conceived. In my case it made my endo worse. I had surgery Feb 2000 and did Lupron for 4 months following. By October, we still hadn't conceived. My doctor put me on Clomid and one month later I was having pain again. She upped the dosage and by Jan 2001 my nightmare with endo returned and I am looking to have another surgery this year. As we know, Endo is fed by Estrogen and Clomid has high amounts of Estrogen in it. I have been doing some reading at a few sites and have found that if you are ovulating (you can tell by your temperature charts) you may not need Clomid. My charts showed clear signs of ovulation. My current doctor (I switched) agrees that the route I took was probably not the best. I can't say for sure that the Clomid caused my endo to grow back so fast, but from what I have read it is a huge possibility. I am only telling you all of this so you can do your homework b-4 you take it! Their are many sites on infertility drugs and endo out there. I wish you so tons of luck and I hope you conceive soon :-)
