Re: Pain Killer AddictionsFrom: William (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Mar 7 20:51:18 2001
Hi , My name is Debbie and I have been on pain meds for about 4 years off and on. I tried to get off of them even though I hurt terrible and I just couldn't. Well one day I tried to go without them for a couple of days. I could tell a difference not weith the pain , but with my body. I broke out in sweats, i ached all over, got nausuated and I just felt like I had the flu. I have taken Vicoden before, Ultram, right now I am on Percocets and Oxycotins 20 mg. I am afraid to say if you are or aren't. I would say the best thing to do is go to you doctor and discuss this with him. I did and we came to a conculsion and he knows all about my pain and problems. He was very sympathtic, so before you get to deep in you should go to him or a addiction counselor, I know that word addict sounc harsh, believe me I am just getting new to it, and it is scary, but it is best to know where you stand, and I also ask the doc what if I need something for pain, how and what would they give me, first he said we will cross that bridge when we come to that, and he reassurred me that there are plenty of other pain meds that are non-narcotic that will help just as well. Hope I helped. Friends, Debbie Henze whenz@ncol.net. write me sometimes, great talking to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
