Hi Debbie,
My name is Kristene and I wanted to give some info I have found to be very
helpful. First of all I went to Barnes & Noble and got two books on
endometriosis to helpme understand what the heck I was going through.
Physically #1, but it also takes a tole emotionally especially on my recent
Fiance and our relationship. The book I am almost finished with is called
(THE ENDOMETRIOSIS ANSWER BOOK) New Hope, New Help. Author: Niels H.
Lauersen, M.D. and Ph.D Constance De Swaan. In response to your question on
getting a tubal reversal to hopefully cure the endo with another child, I
also had heard by many Doctors that child birth is the closest thing to a
cure. Until, I read this book I would have still believed what I had been
told was true. Chapter 10 pg #142. It states unlike what You have been
told, pregnancy does not cure endometriosis. although it may slow down it's
progression. Here is why we have all been told different. If you are
pregnant you do not menstuate for nine months, breast feeding continuse the
cessation of mestruation and regulare fluctuating hormones on a
monthly basis. You can see how Doctors might refer to pregnancy as a cure,
but it provides a woman's body with what is called a familiarly a pelvic
rest. Almost always after the baby is born the endometriosis comes back.
Sorry so lengthly, but I really thought this would be of some help. I wish
the very best of luck. If you are experiencing endo pain, I think I might
be going on a hormone called Danocrine, it claims to take most of the pain
away. I hope you can find some help, and by the way I don't think youre
crazy.
