Do I really have it?From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Mar 3 01:41:45 2001
About 6 months ago, I began having mild pain while ovulating. This has progressed to PAIN during ovulation. It is always on my left side and in the region of my ovaries, but does radiate up almost to my waist. I saw my ob/gyn and he did an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed that my left ovary was slightly larger than the right, but still in the "normal" range. There was also some fluid in the ovarian region. My doc thinks I have endometriosis, which after research, I really don't want. My pain is getting progressively worse, no longer handled by OTC pain relievers. It is also almost constant, not just during ovulation. Does anyone else have symptoms like this? My periods aren't heavy, really don't cramp that much (but getting worse) just this pain. My doc wants to do a laporoscopy, but I am getting a second opinion next week before doing it. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions to ask the doctor? I'm really upset about this and not sure what I should do. Help!
