Andrea,

The Astroglide you can get from the local drugstore and I think that there is an otc form of the lidocaine but it's in a liquid I think. If you want to try the gel or the ointment form you will need to have your dr give you a prescription. The ointment is in a 5% formulation the gel is at 2%.
