Endometriosis can disappear for no rhyme nor reason , at any given time. This does not mean there is a cure for this dreadful disease, I only wish there was. How ever, some ladies (not very many but some) go into remission and their pain just disappears and the best known public example is in the documentary.. Endometriosis - The Inside Story, Monica is struggling with pain and infertility and then one day she wakes up and her pain has disappeared and then a few years later, after much frustration and many tears and heart ache.. Monica becomes pregnant. It is a great example of endo ..just disappearing, for no real reason. To find out more you can read about the Documentary at http://www.endometriosis.org/html/video.html On the other side of the picture... there are women who have to deal with endo and its pain on a daily basis.. or some have a break from it, for it only to return a few years later...its such an unpredictable disease. Many who suffer daily are here on this forum.. writing their stories of strength, courage and heart ache, all hoping to find their own remission and soon These women are suffering and they just may suffer for the rest of their lives, no one knows and this is heart breaking but no one can predict for any of us..what will put us into our remission. Thats why we all must keep trying and searching for different options, in hope we will find the key ..to " Turn our Endo Off " and for Good. There are so many other factors involved, from chronic pelvic pain states, to nerve damage. Some women are spared early in their disease and they find a good endo surgeon and then the disease is propally excised and they are then endo free and thats if they do not form adhesions, then they maybe symptom free for a very long time, sometimes for many ,many years..some for a life time..no one can predict. The sufferers who have found remission, from what ever it was that they tried.... they are now living their new pain free lives and don't have time to waste on the computer..they are enjoying a life, free of pain and they are making up for all they have missed out on.( I wish we could all be promised a remission..to our pain and suffering but unfortunately we can't) I do hope this happens to everyone here , that we all find a remission and relief to our pain and soon and if not remission, then good management of our symptoms and pain. One thing to Remember with Endometriosis is.... The only Consistency with Endo is the Inconsistencies.. This can not be repeated enough and that we are all unique.. Best Wishes,

Belle.

I was told I had endometriois for the longest time and was told it would never go away. I went to a new doctor because of insurance change and he did a surgury on me and told me there was no endometrios. I'm not sure who to beleive or should I get a third opinion. I really don't want to be opened up again. So my question is if you have endometrios can it go away or do you live with it the rest of your life? Thanking you in advance.
