Re: 1st time referred to take lupronFrom: Kellie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Feb 22 11:45:11 2001
I think you made the right decision about trying the Lupron. I've been on it twice and even though the side effects were harsh at times, I would have much rather been inconvienced a while, rather than have surgery. It's not good to constantly keep opening your body, each time creates more scar tissue. Plus, Lupron shots only have a duration for six months b/c any longer than that in women could create heart disease later in life. Like I said, I've been on it twice and after each time I've gone on Depo-Provera. This way, the Lupron is working and I'm still not ovulating anymore(which is the time of month when I was in the most pain. Hope your happy with your decision to take Lupron, I know I am! I HAVE HAD THREE SURGERIES IN THE PAST THREE YEARS AND JUST REALLY DONT FEEL MENTALLY STRONG ENOUGH TO DO IT AGAIN(AT LEAST NOT YET). SO MAYBE THE SHOT WILL GIVE ME SOME TIME TO GET MYSELF TO THAT POINT. I KNOW ITS INEVITABLE BUT I'M JUST TRYING TO PUT IT OFF FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS.
