Re: i just want to talk (fed up with doctors)From: Alisha (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Feb 20 16:17:56 2001
Hi Jackie, I understand your situation as I am almost the same. I only just found this website yesterday and am amazed as you are. I felt like I was the only one when they discovered it I am 21 years old, married and live in Australia. I have had endometriosis since I was 15 and they only realised it was endo when I was 19/20. I had a laproscopy last year and am still in a lot pain almost every day. I go to work 5 days a week and struggle with the pain. I normally get pain in the mornings until the afternoon. I get very swollen around my pelvic area and this is when the pain normally occurs. I also struggle during sexual intercourse as it is painful during and afterwards for days. I have been taking the strongest pill available and this was not helping, so my gyno recommended I take Danocrine (Danazol). I am very worried about this hormone tablet and at present trying to see if anyone has used this and what their outcome is (e.g. Relieval of pain, side effects, etc). Additionally I am looking at having children in 12 months and am worried this will affect me getting pregnant. What are you using for your pain? Please let me know your experiences as I am sure yours will be similar. Warmest regards, ALISHA
