Re: Adhesions and Adhesion Barriers

Its actually a saline float..where the pelvic organs are washed and floated with a saline solution and it is used to help prevent adhesions .Yes Adhesions can be caused from previous surgeries or infections like PID, these can all cause scarring and adhesions but Endo is a major Cause of adhesions in young women (Endo loves to hide inadhesions) ...especially the ones who have never had a surgery and present with adhesions. There are other adhesion barriers available, like Interceed..Ask your endo specialist what he uses, to help prevent adhesions and if he isn't using anything..It maybe time to get a new doctor, who knows and understands endo and its complications...Just a thought. Best Wishes,

Belle.

Hello,

I have had two surgeries over the past 8 years and I haven't heard of filling your stomache with water. The last surgery they put a film in to help stop the adhensions but I think it didn't work, I am having problems with my bladder and cramps again. I wish there was somthing to control the cramps it would make life a liitle easier.. If anyone knows something that works please write back. The thought of another surgery makes me sick.
