3 surgeries - continued painFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Feb 12 13:01:02 2001
I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in May of 2000.(exploratory laparotomy) I continued to have problems after surgery. Changed Dr.'s after 2 hospital stays (12 days total) for "small partial bowel obstruction." I had a distended abdomen 99% of the time and lost 16 lbs. because I was unable to eat. I had surgery with a specialist (who is wonderful) in September 2000 (laser micro-surgery). Very active endometriosis (in 4th month of Lupron) and ended up with a bowel resection. I did ok for a few months. Had laparoscopy on January 18, 2001 for a "pseudo-cyst." My Dr. says that there was not any endometriosis present. I am continually battling with a distended abdomen which causes a lot of pain. I had a sigmoidoscopy and small bowel study last week that were both "normal." Has anyone had this problem?????? I am so tired and frustated as I am sure everyone here is. Also, my husband and I are trying to get pregnant. Any encouraging stories of pregnancy with Stage IV endo would be great. I wish all of you well and would love to hear from ANYONE!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
