This occurs ten days or so before my period. The pain comes and goes several times a day and wakes me up at night. Each episode lasts from 10 to 25 minutes or so and the pain becomes extremely intense before easing up. The pains are menstrual -like and these episodes go on for several days. My abdomen feels bloated as well. I have tried over the counter pain medications such as advil and also Midol with little relief. I also have tried the heating pad. This seems to be getting worse although sometimes I have a completely pain free period.. Whem my period actually atarts I have little or no pain. I am 49 years old. Could this be endometriosis?
