I don't think it could hurt to try it. I took it and it didn't work for me long term, but I would never have known if I hadn't tried it. My side effects included hot flashes, mood swings, and even minor heart palipitations, but I didn't have any pain! I was able to exercise, consistenly! My pain returned after being off of it for 5 months. I have heard from some that it has helped them long term. I know it's a tough decision, but I decided to do it because I wanted to know once and for all if it would work for me. Good Luck to you! Mindy :-)
