Hi Joanell,

Welcome aboard!! It took me some time to find your answer. I also hope that your pain eases real soon. I'm still having a lot of pain after a very painful beginning to a pelvic exam, but then after I asked my dr to numben me up (yes we were supposed to do a biopsy on Sat but it had to be cancelled b/c of the infection that I have right now) then I was ok. I have also made a note to myself that the next time I go in for a pelvic exam and it starts to hurt like that again I'm going to ask for the numbing agent. That pain was awful, so awful that I literally felt my pelvic floor muscles tighten up, and then when I was numb I relaxed and she finished taking the cultures that she needed to find out if there were other infections besides Bacterial Vaginosis.

Please feel free to e-mail me privately any time.

Take care,

===== Kristy :)
