Re: Fw: pain w.intercourse

Kim, I felt relief about 3 months only after each lap. I have had 4 laps and they were all about 8 months apart starting in 1998. I had incisions in areas that I did not with my other surgeries. I had my period for this surgery or he made me get it because endo is the most active when you get your period. So I stopped the continuous BCP and got my period Monday and Wed was the surgery. I have incisions over each ovary,my belly button of course and one real high on my right side because of endo near the bowel area and cul de sac area. I will find out more on Wed at the follow up. IF there is one thing I have learned from all this, it is find the right doctor who knows what they are doing. Dr. K who I am seeing was doctor #10 for me. If you have all these laps done with unqualified doctors it is not helping because they are not getting all the endo therefore you are not getting much relief no matter how many laps. Basically I had a lap, Lupron for 6 months, another Lap, Danazol for 6 months, andother lap and then the pill continuous and now I just and another lap. I realized that all those other doctors were not educated enough on endo and everything I had done with them was a waste of time. Make sure you have a qualified endometriosis specialist... If you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me! I had all that done in 2-3 years and I am 24 years old now... Andrea V
