(((Lisa)))" The Endometriosis Research Center (ERC) & Amgen/Praecis are pleased to announce that they will be presenting 'Endometriosis 2001,' an educational Symposium featuring the latest research on and treatment for Endometriosis. This FREE Symposium will be held April 20, 2001 in Arlington, VA and as with last year's event, later broadcast on the Internet (also for free). Noted opinion leaders on Endometriosis will be presenting on various aspects of the disease. Following an afternoon of educational presentations, the ERC and Amgen/Praecis will host an Endometriosis Social Dinner & Awards Ceremony Friday evening, to take place in celebration of women and teens living with Endometriosis. The Symposium & Social Dinner is being presented a day prior to the EndoWalk, being held only 3 miles away in Washington, D.C. The ERC hopes that through these events, physicians, women and teens everywhere will benefit from a weekend of education, encouragement and empowerment over Endometriosis. The ERC is an international 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which was founded in 1997 to address the growing global need for Endometriosis awareness, education, support and research facilitation. Amgen/Praecis is currently involved in Phase III clinical trials with a new investigational medication, Abarelix, to determine whether the medication is safe and capable of relieving pain associated with Endometriosis faster and with fewer side effects than current therapies.
