Rash and Pregnancy

I am a 33 year old Asian women, 13 weeks pregnant with my first. For about a week, I have suffered a horrible rash all over my torso, thighs, and neck that itches intensely. My MD said it is normal, though rare and did not give much else of an explanation. In checking the internet, I think I have something called Pityriasis Rosea, which I have also found that many other women have suffered through. If this is what I have, info seems to indicate that it will NOT be harmful to my baby, but I'm worried sick. I will check with my MD with this new information and ask to see a Dermatologist as well as I can't stand it! Lotions and Oatmeal baths do not help much. Antihistamines help, but I don't want to take too many while pregnant. I have heard that sun tanning helps, but I don't want to over heat my body. I did go through two light sessions of indoor tanning and it helps. I want to try Aloe Gel on my skin as it has amazing anti-itch properties, but I want to make sure it is safe. I know Aloe is very bad to take internally. Can anyone help me or give me some advice? Thanks for much! R.
