Hi i am a 30 year old female who is tired of going through pain. I have had sever dysmenoherra since i was 15 at 16 i was put in the hospital for an emergency appendicotmy. Which turned out not to be my appendix at all but scar tissue in and around my fallopian tube the doctor said he took care of it all. I was still miserable with pain everytime i was menstrating and sick. when i was 20 i had a premature birth at 5 months. At age 22 when i started menstrating the pain effected my legs. a day before my legs would be numb feeling and tired the day it started at times i could not walk I have tried to tell my obgyn(at the time) this and my reg doctor they both seem to think i was nuts. I was married and went without birthcontrol for 3 yrs and no pregency I went to see a different doctor and told him of the pain and the sharp pain in my right side and about not being able to become preg. he suggested the laperscopy. I had this procedure done and i have a large amount of scar tissue around my right fallopian tube which conected my lower bowel from my appendectomy. all this was removed along with a small amount of scar tissue from the left side. I was still having a tremondous amount of pain while menstrating but no stabbing pain. Still unable to become preg. after a few years things changed and i choose to take the depo shot. I went without menstrating for a year went off the shot and back to the pill. OMG what a mistake. I have been in the ER twice in the past 4 months. my pains are no longer cramps but like contractions. my doctor suggested a pain pill and maybe a laperscopy (because he thought i had endo) but it didnt work and the laperscopy was put on hold to see how things went. i was totally miserable i laid in bed having sever pain every 3 mins untill the pill kicked in about an hour later and put me to sleep for about an hour...then the same thing. So i chose to go to the womens clinic near where i live told him the history and he did the same thing....a different pain medication tylenol #3 an antiinflamatory 1500mg a day and an antidepressant. My next visit I was totally frustrated the doctor suggested i have the laperscopy done, the pain med , antiinflamatory and antidepressant worked only for a n hour or two then back to the same thing. I had to wait 6 weeks for the laperscopy durng this time the meds he gave me did not work at all.... i was doubled over in pain holding my breath till the pains went away 3 min later another would come. Do any of these doctors know what is going on?..my laperscopy is going to be done feb 6th. is this the right thing to do or am i just up for more scar tissue and more pain than what i already have? I cannot endure this and function daily. I need some help....i need some answers and why doesnt anyone explain themselves throughly? I am sure the stabbin pain in my rightside will go away for a year or two but what about the contraction type pains?.....my doctor looked at me and asked well when ya had the surgery last time did it help?...i said yes. so he scheduled the lap. but back then i didnt have the contraction like pain while menstrating. it was server cramping which i had learned to deal with. Is this guy just patting me on the back? i dont know i dont know i just need some type of relief from this....out of 30 days 17 at least of mine are filled with server pain.......and i am supose to function and have a normal life..and this started 15 yrs ago and i still have no definate answers except scar tissue but it was removed...Please give me some insight
