Re: adhesions

I know countless women who have had endo in the past, had it removed and still have had the return of pain, only to have surgery and the doctor finds only adhesions or in a few cases, calcification.

Adhesions formation is different for everyone. The 2 most common causes of adhesions are surgery and the disease endometriosis. Adhesions can be as painful as active endometriosis.

It is also true that if your doctor is not familiar with all the many different appearances of endo, aside from the classic powder-burn lesions, you may indeed still have endo in your pelvis that was missed during his lap. Please check out the image library of endometriosis on the endozone and you will see the many different appearances endo has.

Have you considered seeing an endo specialist, one who is capable of the best surgical technique and has a great deal of experience operating on endometriosis patients? You will find this is by far the best approach to long-term if not permanent relief from endometriosis.
