Danielle, I too have been the bcp continuously and my endo symptoms have, at one point in time, stayed the same. I am currently experiencing symptoms that are becoming worse even though I am still on the bcp continuously. I have used Danazol and Lupron and neither relieved my symptoms, unfortunately.

It is my understanding that it is rare for endo to be link to cancer but is not unheard of. I would certainly investigate the possibility as soon as possible. Hopefully your biopsy will prove to be negative for cancer. However, since you have had three tests all showing irregular cells I think you have to look into the possibility immediately. If it happens to be positive you will likely have caught it early enough to ensure a full recovery and a full life expectancy. Cervical cancer, from what I know of it, has a good survival rate. I have to admit though that I am not at all well read on the subject.

I would suggest that you research the subject of pap smear results and what might be possible diagnoses. Knowledge is power! The more informed you are the more likely you will be able to ask good questions about what to expect, what you need to do (for treatment) and what resources there are in your community and country for that possible diagnosis.

The OBGyn.net site will have information on this subject. You may also try WebMD.com and a new site at http://www.medbroadcast.com that simplifies medical lingo into everyday terms and seems to be a good site.

Good luck and please keep in touch.

Tanya
