pain management for endometriosis

From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)

I carefully monitor my own pain, but at times, I am unable to do so on my own. Occassionnally (2 or 3 times a year)I end up in the emergency room for pain management. I find that at times the doctors and nurses lack the knowledge necessary to treat me with respect as I feel they may look at me as an abuser of the system. I find this very offensive and am wondering if their are any suggestions to have them treat my pain without all the negative comments that come with it. Visiting the emergency department is not a pleasant experience and one that I try to avoid at all costs. I only wish that this aspect could be relayed to them. Any answers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
