Acronyms and Chat Lingo And Helpful Tools on the CompFrom: nsmitch (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Jan 1 23:25:16 2001
For those who wanted info on chat lingo, here's a pretty good site with them listed alphabetically, emotes, smilies, etc. One thing I noticed missing was F in the middle of some phrases such as LMFAO which is Laughing My F'ing A_ _ Off....So, if you see an F somewhere it might mean that. http://www.dwarfnet.com/chat/acronyms.shtml This is what came up from my search. I have a listing of my own but it's old and may not include all of the smilies, etc. so, here's a beginning: http://www.google.com/search?q=Chat+Lingo&btnG=Google+Search Here are some helpful codes which are NOT in your Outlook Express although you may want to use someday, such as the cent (¢) sign or the sign for temp degrees ( ° ) or foreign languages, etc. You must use the numeric keypad and Num Lock must be on (look at numeric pad and you'll find a button for this; if you lock this you can also use this as an easier means of typing in numbers, etc.) With these codes you must put 0 before each one such as to get the " é ", I typed in 0233 while holding down the ALT key. Hope this makes some things a bit easier for you. This will make more sense once you open the web site. http://www.fingertipsoft.com/3dkbd/ansitable.html Namasté, Sally P.S. I am also sorry this has taken a while to get all of this to everyone. I also want to let you know that I expect to not be around much for a while; I thank you in advance for your understanding, love, *hugss* and support. Painlessness and Lightness of Being to all :-}
