Re: New to the groupFrom: Tanya (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Dec 16 17:11:00 2000
Welcome Joan. I have endo on both uterosacral ligaments, more on the right though. That is what causes my the most pain. I have had it removed but it returned very quickly - they used cautery so of course it returned quickly. We don't have a harmonic scalpel where I live. I have been on Lupron and Danazol. I have to admit that I did not have favourable results on either drug and that the side effects were worse terrible. BUT not everyone has the experience that I did. Many women find either drug effective. I would recommend that you read as much as you can pro and cons for the drug and then make an educated decision. You can even ask your pharmacist to photocopy the information on the drug from the reference books that they have. There are many sites on the internet that talk about Lupron. There is a site by the manufacturer and there is a site for ''Lupron Victims". You just have to type Lupron and you will get many hits. Good luck and remember that knowledge is power when it comes to endo. Don't let the doc force you to do something that you don't want to do. If you can back up your decision - what ever it may be - with facts and reasoning then the doc won't have a fighting chance (: Knowledge is power. Let us know what you decide. If you do go ahead witht he Lupron there are MANY of us that have been on it and can help you through it. Tanya
