Hello Everyone, I been reading everyone posts for the last few days, Before I reponded. I just joined the group about 3 or 4 days ago. Wel here is my story. I guess it will be long. I was diagnosed in 1-2000, But Have had the symptoms sicne Iwas 13. I was treated for poly cystic ovarian syndrome. Have had plenty of Laps. Had cystic removed each and everytime, so there was no need I guess to say it was anything but pcos. I went to the Erone day after moving to a new area, without getting a dr first. When I was admitted since they couldnt find a reason to my pain. My ovaries for once where the right size and no mass felt. They called in one of the Dr form there hospital. He ended up preforming a lap, when they couldnt find any other reason for my apin that nothing was helping. He found 3 spots of endo. where he didnt biopsy didnt remove nothing. he ended up closing me back up, leaving the hospital, and I had to wait to find out what was wrong. No one knew exactly. I had to cry and plead with the nurses to call him to I could find out.. Poor excuse of a Dr. Well he told me then said.. I will discharge u in a few days, then call my office and make an appt for a month! I had to wait a whole month in pain! Since the hospital wouldnt call in another Dr. I discharged myself, and began the search of a new dr. What a long road its been. I been to alot, and to save the trouble of telling you and the much longer post it would be.. Needless to say they couldnt do anythign for me, I went on Lupron with one, I ended up having awful side affects, ended up on (no Joke) 6 meds to conteract the side effects, ended up back in the er for being over medicated. Its been a mess. Now I am at a new dr that has refered me out to a new dr on the 20th and I am not having any good feelings about her. I feel hopeless anymore. I am currently taking Ambein to sleep but its 2.34 am, and it doesn thelp as you can see. and I take Dilaidud which my dr told me better work cause its 8 X stronger then morphine. Well it does but i live life in kinda a haze drugged feeling.. No way to live. I been on tons of differnt pain medicines that dont work for me. Unfortuantly I am in pain all month long, I havent worked since 1-2000 and its driving me nuts. I looking into disability now. But itshard, no one ever wants to beilve that this "female problem" can be that bad. (i am told this daily) thankfully i have a good PCP that helps me all the way he can. He keeps tryign to find me a pain clicni but no one wants to touch on endometriosis. they say thay can help teh back pain if it, but not the abdomenal. When I just recently read through my medical records from my dr back home, it seems that he had suspicion of endo. but never acted on it. but I also found through my reprts stuff saying malignancy and LSIL. So now my new dr is running a battery of new tests.. Just my stress level right now is at an all time low and my stress is at an all time high! Everyone seems so supportive here and its great, My finace is very supportive, but one never can fully understand unless they are going through the same thing. If there is anyone out there in the Pittsburgh PA area, and has a good dr, let me know please.. I am so tired of doing this battle of drs. I have been to 6 going on 7 in the last 12 months. I think the worst is the wait when u get reffered half of the dr are booked for months so u have to wait. Dont they understand what this feels like. Not to mention I got dropped by a dr that wanted me to go to as Gastro dr.. When I had already been to one, he wanted me to go again. He wouldnt accept it was endo, when he had the pictures in front of him in color. His letter to e actually said since you will not go to a gastro or see an inferitly dr.. (he wanted me to get pregnant) He would not longer be treating me. How unfair to say get pregnant or I want be your dr in other words. Not to mention make me go to a Dr I already been to that said my tests came back fine, and who wants to go through a barium enema twice. Not me! Well sorry for the venting at the end, but it just seems to start flowing when u start typing. Sincerely, Myssi
