Re: Possible endometriosis?

Hi Jackie. I went through the same thing with my first doctor. I was sure I had endo from the beginning. Several of the women in my family have had it and it was just a strong feeling I had. My first doc was, to be honest, rude and unsympathetic about the whole thing. I didn't have pain with sex and she said if I didn't have pain with sex, then I didn't have endo. She told me to try Advil and to come back in a few months. Well, I went to another Doc right away. She did a Laparoscopy 2 weeks later and my ovaries were glued to my belly with scar tissue. They lasered out the scar tissue, but it has come back. Now, i am taking Lupron, and I basically have only a few months after the Lupron to become pregnant naturally....and there is no gaurantee that will even happen. I'm not trying to scare you, but a lot of the times, doctors think they know EVERYTHING, and they don't...they too are human and make mistakes. Some doctors also have tendancy to turn their heads when they hear "Endometriosis." I would either be firm with your doctor about how you feel or get a second opinion.

Good luck! Misty
