Amanda, I have had a colonoscopy and that was because my grandmother has colon cancer. Plus I have a lot of bowel adhesions and other issues with the endo. It was fast, I do not remember a thing because they drugged me up pretty good. I do think your doctor is awesome for waiting until your insurance kicks in because mine cost more than my laparoscopy. Around 3,000 dollars. I want to let you know that it went well and that they found nothing and that I hope it goes the same way for you! I am not sure how old you are. I had one done and I was only 23 years old. That was last year. Very young to start thinking about colon cancer.... Best of luck, Andrea V Wisconsin
