Re: Hello ALLFrom: nsmitch (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Oct 31 22:35:24 2000
Kristy, Thanks for the info. I do hope you did not go through en EMG for Dx of this, however. I can sympathize with this pain, etc. I have so many diagnoses they are often not labeled in my files as I look like a walking hypochondriac and some of my doc's protect me from poor treatment by other docs by not "labeling" everything. (Sorry, really foggy today so if that didn't make sense I am sorry.) I have irritation there and use topical stuff occasionally but because of the neuropathy it is unclear now whether I have vulvodynia or if it is simply another symptom of the overall neuropathy. (Occasional redness, itching and burning usually near and during menstruation BUT also have nerve pain all month sporadically like someone is running razor blades in and out of me. And I have gone completely numb there as well, so....) Again thank you for sharing. Sally from Sacto., CA
>----- Original Message ----- Hi Sally, I've not been doing all that well b/c of infections. I'm doing everything that I can to take care of myself but b/c of my other female condition called vulvodynia I'm more prone to infections b/c of the surgical procedure that caused the vulvodynia in the first place. And b/c I have vulvodynia there's not a whole lot I can do to stop the infections except to keep the symptoms of my vulvodynia under control, and I sure try to do the best that I can to keep them as well as my stress level in check. If you would like to learn more about this condition please let me know and I will post the links for you. Kristy S :) Jacksonville, FL
