FYI to all - Some of the side-effects of hormone treatment such as Lupron,
Danocrine, Zoladex, Depo-provera, etc. (GnRH analogs, etc.) have been
depression and/or anxiety attacks. remember your body is going through major
hormonal changes such as pseudo-menopausal/pregnancy. It is not uncommon to
go through pseudo-post-partum depression or other types. Check with your
physicians and/or pharmacy regarding side-effects of meds. I know one of the
first times I was on a GnRH analog I thought I was losing my mind. Then
months later when I had the courage to acknowledge it to my doc, he says
"Well that might be the meds." and he put me on Xanax. I only stayed on it
while on the meds.
For those others who have depression and anxiety for other reasons, please
do not beat yourself up over it. You are under stressful circumstances and
it is only natural to go through some depression, grief and anxiety. If meds
and/or counseling help, do it! And best of health and well-being to all.
Sally

Kristy,
Stress management is a key part of keeping the anxiety
and panic in order. I know that it is hard to fathom
but they are controlable if you know how to control
stress. It is NOT easy and I applaud your efforts to
keep yourself sane!!! Keep up the good work!! debbie
