Hello Ladies( what are women with migraines taking?)From: Peggy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Oct 31 12:03:49 2000
Hello Ladies, I hope everyone is doing well today, I know we have discussed this before but I don't remember what you all where taking for your migraines. I have had such a terrible increase in migraines. This month alone I have had 13 migraines. I am on a beta blocker (corgard) and also take Amerge when a migraine strikes. Sometimes it takes 2 doses before I am able to function. I saw my primary care physician on October 16th and he had me double up on the mgs. of the corgard from 40 to 80 mgs but this has not helped. He asked that I give it 2 weeks to see how it goes and let him know. I called him yesterday and told him that since I saw him 2 weeks ago I have had 7 migraines. So now he wants me to go see a neurologist to make sure there is nothing more going on. He also prescribed Darvocet to take along with the Amerge when I get a migraine. It did help yesterday. I am waiting to hear from the neurologist's office on getting an appointment. The nurse from my PC's Office said that when she called to make the appointment there was voice mail so she left all the info and told them I needed to be seen by a neurologist and if I don't hear from them in 3 days to give her a call back.So I was just wondering what evryone else does for thier migraines and if it helps. As far as the pelvic pain, I am not doing too bad. I think the new treatment with the Aromatase inhibitor is helping some. I am crossing my fingers and toes and anything els that can be crossed that I continue to see a decline in the pain.I also wanted to wish everyone a Safe and Happy Halloween.
