i was diagnosed with endometriosis over a year ago, with definitive surgery in jan of 00. the surgery was unsuccessful and i ended up back in the emergence room within four weeks of the surgery with pain so severe, i could hardly breathe. i have been unresponsive to birthcontrol, depo lupron, danazol and my symptoms and pain are only getting worse. unfortunately, the only medical attention i am recieving is through the navy; i am an active duty sailor. basically, that means that there is really only one doctor i can see, i have been denied diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds because they were deemed "unnecessary", i have dealt with doctors who are more concerned with lecturing me on the dangers of becoming asddicted to the narcotics i have had to resort to in order to even function on a daily basis, doctors who really don't seem to know what this condition is, let alone how to treat it, and i have no one to turn to for a second opinion. nothing seems to be working for me, and even the narcotics i take aren't working on the pain, let alone the nausea and vommiting, the back pain, the depression, the bloating in my lower abdomen, hot and cold flashes, increasingly painful urination and bowel movements, blood in my feces, and ever increasing and debilitating pain. i have reached the end of my rope, and my new husband, although he has been incredibly supportive, doesn't know what else to do other than console me. i can't afford to go to a civilian doctor for a second opinion, and the only answers my seems to have for me is more drugs and another surgery. is there anything i can try on my own? is there another treatment out there that i haven't tried yet? is there anything i can do to help myself get pregnant? if so what are the risks to me and to the baby? i have so many questions that i can't seem to get the answers to. is there some place on-line or some kind of hotline i can call for answers? i just want some answers and someone to offer me another option besides drugs that make me sick and another surgery.
