Re: QUESTIONS WITH LUPRON AND SIDE AFFECTS

Hi Amy -

I've taken lupron before and suffered from similar side effects. Are you taking an estrogen add back? Sometimes that can help. I personally hate the drug. I'm taking it for the third time now - I've never been able to tolerate the side effects. We're using estrogen, an antidepressant, and an antianxiety drug to help me weather the effects this time. It's critical that I find a way to handle it because I've already had 5 surgeries, two in the last three months alone. I just wanted you to know that what you are experiencing does not sound unusual for this drug and please don't hesitate to talk to your doctor if you are having a hard time tolerating it!
