PID is often a 'transmitted' disease, BUT NOT ALWAYS!! I have a significant amount of scar tissue which will be removed on 10/10 and then I'll know more, but PID is often a chronic disease. I asked my doctor why, if it is PID, I'm not on antibiotics, and he stated that to cause this much scar tissue it would be chronic and a course of antibiotics wouldn't take care of it.
