Hi Judy, You are very welcome, I am so glad I could be of some help to you. I do understand exactly what you are saying and it is disgusting that your doctors are not working together to help you manage your pain, especially so soon after surgery and having to take care of your little one on top of it. I have been told by some of the best endo specialists that some women take longer to get over having surgery than others...for some reason our bodies are hypersensitive after surgery and we feel the pain more than others..this can take up to 3 months to settle down in some women and I was one of them.You should recieve adequate pain relief to get you through until you have recovered and your pain settled down.Some times a pain specialist is required. One of the women mentioned oxycontin to you...This can work well for some women as it is in a slow release tablet..oxycodone is the generic name. It can make some women sleepy and others will do just fine on it, I have tried it myself a while ago and I have also tried ms contin which is slow release morphine but neither suited me and I am on methadone now(I am under a pain specialist).These drugs are usually presribed by pain specialists but I have heard that some of the American girls are able to get it from their regular doctors..Ask your doctor it can't hurt or ask to see a pain specialist ..that would be the best idea in my opinion and I would be asking myself... if your doctor is a real endo specialist.. this would be something else I would be looking into.
