Jomarie, The action of Synarel is exactly like that of Lupron. The side effects are different for everyone. I had the hot flashes, mood swings, etc. I also had some problems with nose bleeds, which is apparently common. I stuck it out for the six months, unfortunately before the end of the six months, I was back in pain. Like Lupron everyone reacts differently and I hope you will have better succes with it than I did. My body reacts funny to hormonal changes, in fact I went off birth control and the fourth month off, all pain disappeared and was gone for six months. Then it started to shows its ugly head again. I am sorry to hear that your family is not understanding. My family is very supportive, but my mother-in-law can't understand why I am so miserable, when she had it and she never had a day of pain. Feel free to ask any questions you have, we're here for you and understand completely what you are going through - - - Lila

Hi, My name is Jomarie I am 21 and have been dealing with endo for close to 10 years now. I have had been through a lot as we all have. My question is if anyone else has used synarel. My Dr. tells me it is close to Lupron which I have taken in the past. I am not looking forward to more hot flashes mood swings and bouts with depression. But the pain has again become unbariable yet once again. The one thing that seems to be a perk is that the synarel is a nasel spray taken twice a day that can be stopped at any time. Any suggestions advice or a friend that would understand would help. Much of my family still thinks that endo is something that I have made up and is in my head. They do not understand that when i spend the day in bed it has nothing to do with not wanting to go to work.
