Hi Kristy,

Sorry I have not been especially communicative recently, it has been hard to keep up with my e-mail inbox! Also, up to today I was not feeling terribly well. Yesterday was the worst. I think Danazol really makes me miserable emotionally. Well yesterday morning I had had it so I busted out my copy of "The Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine" and looked up depression to see what it recommends in terms of vitamins and herbal stuff. I want to make sure I'm taking all the right amounts of everything. Well I discovered a highly recommended compound called 5-Hydroxy Tryptophan. Basically it is a precursor of serotonin. So I'm taking that plus St. John's wort, and the recommended amounts of B-6, B-12, folic acid and vitamin C. And today I feel a lot more relaxed and able to cope with life. So I am doing better! The swelling I had experienced seems to be receding, so that's good.

So did you find out about the job? Let me know what happens with that, I am so excited for you and hope that you get it!!!

Love, Amanda

Hi Amanda,

Yes I do take vitamin supplements, but the reason that it seems like my body and immune system is overloaded is b/c of the fact that I have a vulvar condition in addition to the endo. It is the vulvar condition especially that makes my system very vulnerable to infections and of course when I'm stressed out that just adds to the problem.

I do make sure that I eat right and take care of myself properly in other ways. If it weren't for the vulvar condition: vulvodynia I would be doing more exercise.

As for grandma, she's ok. She's in a nursing home now (the main reason for my stress level going so high for so long even though). It would have been a lot nicer if we could have kept her at home but her condition had deteriorated quite a bit in the last few weeks and it was that deterioration that was making my stress level go up no matter how hard I tried to keep my stress levels under control.

I'm in therapy to help with some of this stress, and talking things out with her is of some help to me. I may have a job. I'm going to find out for sure on Mon so that should be of even more help to me as far as the stress levels even if it doesn't take away my physical pain as far as the intensity.

I can tell you that the swelling that you are having could be the result of the Danazol b/c it can cause water retention. I'm sorry to hear about the dizzy spells that you have had. I do hope that you get to feeling a whole lot better from that real soon.

Take care,

Kristy S :) Jacksonville, FL
