Diane, It may be that your 'primary' doesn't know. Family doctors, which is what I am presuming you are referring to, are versed in a little bit of everything and specialize in nothing. He/she may not have seen endo, other than from a textbook, or many years ago in first year residency.

It is say that your husband does not support you better with this. Perhaps if you ask him to read some of the literature on endo, from the great websites online or some of the good books that are out there, he might understand what you are going through - it might validate it for him. Unfortunately, endo is something we can see or smell or touch so it is so hard to show people what we go through. Good luck!
