Belle,

Hi! My name is Debbie and I'm kinda new here. I was reading your message to Amy below and there is a part in there that has me a little confused. You said something about diagnostic lap and then you wrote something about no surgery being done and less time to recover. I am a medical professional and have had several diagnostic laps. While I do agree with you about the recovery times being shorter I have to disagree with the insinuation that a diagnostic lap is not surgery.....it IS a surgical procedure and should be viewed as such. It is usually performed as an explorative surgery but it can also be used for removing organs as well as pieces of endo. I had my gall bladder and ovary removed during this procedure last March...granted it could have started as a diag. lap and turned into a laparotomy but it is possible for the removal of smaller tissues and debris. I hope that I have just misunderstood what you wrote but I needed to have some clarification. --- Belle Browne <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote: > Hi Amy,
