Hi Jennifer,

I would have to wonder why he lasered off some spots and decided to leave others?I am sorry that you still have the pain after having the laporoscopy, My situation is very complicated to say the least, 4/98 I had a hysterectomy and left ovary removed,10 days later I ended up back in the OR due to developing a hematoma that had to be surgically drained then because of the infection I ended up with severe adhesions and had a laporoscopy 10/98 and 4/99,still having the pain(I switched gyns after the infection because he kept pushing me off on other Drs.)this gyn did another laporscopy 11/99 going in looking for endometriosis and to remove the right ovary, and yes he did find endometriosis in the cul de sac and on the lower bowel he decided to leave it alone. He was going to withhold HRT for 3 months as to allow the endo to "DIE" off,but after a couple of months all the menopause syptoms stopped so he checked my hormone levels and found them to be in the nonmenopausal levels, I tried Lupron for 4 months went into menopause but after the 3rd injection it all stopped again so my Dr. checked the levels again and they were further elevated so we discontinued the lupron, One day I saw a post on here about a study that was being conducted using an aromatase inhibitor so I e-mailed the Dr. that is doing the study, told him my story and he wrote back telling me that he felt I would benefit from this treatment, only I was not qualified to be part of the study itself, he sent me a research paper that he did and I printed it off and sent it to my Dr. asking him to read it and to see weither I would benefit from this, He feels that I would and e-mailed the other Dr. for the protocol, I just started taking the medication today so I don't know how it will go.I am very hopeful yet very unsure with it all.My Dr. told me that if he didn't feel this treatment wasn't right for me he would not have persued it, so that made me feel really good about doing it.If you have any other questions please feel free to ask, Peggy
