Ovary Removal

From: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)

My ovaries are scheduled to be removed next month. My uterus has been gone for years. My doctor says he has had good success with his endo patients going on HRT immediately and plans that for me. Here's what I want to know: to those of you who have had this done, what did it feel like, hormone-wise, after surgery? Are we going to play around with dosages, is HRT going to feel radically different than natural estrogen, is there a lag-time between taking it and feeling 'normal'? Nothing I have read really addresses this.

Thanks, ladies - Anne
