andometreosis & abdominal painFrom: jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Sep 13 20:54:28 2000
i have had recurrent abd pain on my right side for the past 4 months- it occurs a week or so after my period- it is a dull ache type of pain- not throbbing or sharp- kind of like something is touching something- anyway- i had a laparoscopy done aug 3 and my ob found endo on my cul de sac and a few other spots that he left alone?- i need to find out what he meant by that- also - my uterus was really soft and he said i have andometreosis- he says it can be painful but not a danger to fertiltiy?- i have the same pain right now and should be ovulating the next couple of days- so i would think it would be cyclical- i did have ultrasound and bloodwork and xrays- all of which are negative- the first month i had the pain- my questions are: any info on andometreosis- what should i do - should i see a fertility guy anyway?- and what should i do about the abd pain- i hate to keep having procedures when unnecessary- my ob said that my ovaries were fine the right one had a 2cm cyst on it and the left one was ovulating at the time- he didn't look higher than my belly button during surgery- so maybe i have spots of endo on my intestine?- he said my appendix was fine- any information would help me at this point- thanks!
