Hi Judy, I am sorry to hear about your pain. It sounds all too familiar to me. I too live on vicodin for about 10 days a month. I won't take 2 at a time though because I have been addicted to them 4 times already. I only take them when I can stand the pain no more. Currently, I am participating in a research nfor Lupron/Aberelix injections. I don't know which one I am recieving, but I do know that it is helping alot with the pain. The only time when I feel the pain is when the shot is wearing off. I get the shot once a month. I have not gained any weight from the shot. In fact, I have actually lost about 10 lbs. so far from it. I am having hotflashes, moodswings, headaches, and insomnia as side effects, but I'd take all those any day to rid of the pain. I have 2 kids that I stay home and take care of, so I'd rather have little to no pain for a good part of the month. I'm going in for my 4rth shot Thursday. I am not looking foward to getting off the shot, but you can only be on them once for 6 months. Without the shot, I have pain all the time! Everyone has different reactions to drugs/surgeries/and endo., so make sure you keep that in mind. I wish the best for you. Good luck with any decision you make. Take care, Erin Remember to keep your chin up for your little one. Just relax and take things one at a time. --- Judy <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote: > I am so depressed. I have endured at least 3 years
