Re: FRUSTRATED...From: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Sep 1 07:12:19 2000
Sylvia, try and take a few deep breaths when you're in pain and relax. It's a simple technique, it does not get RID of the pain, but it makes it a bit easier to endure. Having been on the doctor/diagnosis rollercoaster for some time now, I sympathize with you. When someone can't SEE what's wrong with you (like a broken bone), it's often hard for them to sympathize, but we out here in cyber land are here to help each other, so use us! My daughter, just a bit younger than you, is plagued with migraine headaches, and I find myself feeling frustrated with her about that sometimes, so all of us moms are guilty of that to a certain degree I'm afraid. Try talking to your mother calmly when you're feeling better and telling her how you feel. Please know also, that it is painful for any mother to see their child in pain that they are unable to do anything about. Keep talking to us Sylvia - we're all in this together.
