I know that it is possible for there to be a genetic link in some families when it comes to endo, but I don't know if that genetic factor is always the case b/c my mother doesn't have endo, my grandma didn't have endo, but yet I do. As for laparoscopy, it's like any surgery there could be complications but if the dr that is doing the procedure is an expert at it and has done hundreds and thousands of them there shouldn't be any complications or anything dangerous. One of the ladies in our group is an RN, and she will be able to give you even more information than I have here in this post, but I do hope that what I have given to you here is of some help.
