WARNING -- THIS EMAIL IS GOING TO BE WHINY & FULL OF SELF-PITY -- READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Belle --

I'm sorry I haven't been keeping in touch better. I've been going through a lot of stuff lately, and have just been trying to cope with that. I hope you don't mind (and feel free to skip this part), but I'm just going to get it all out now. My grandfather had a stroke & is now in a nursing home -- the worst part is he has just given up & doesn't even want to go back home. My grandmother has been in the nursing home for almost 6 months now, too. I know they're old & are probably not going to live much longer, but I'm still not ready for this. Plus they're so far away, and I haven't seen them for over a year. My job is also stressful, and I love it, but some days I just don't feel like I want to go anymore. The other main problem is although the Lupron is working fairly well, the one major side effect is that I cry -- A LOT. It doesn't take much to set me off: sadness, happiness, anger, fright, indifference, boredom, stress, etc. I cry at least once a day. It's getting to be embarrassing.

Anyway -- self-pit aside -- I know I'm not the only one going through this stuff, and I know that some people are doing much worse then me. I am just so frustrated. I just want it all to be over & not have to worry about the pain (which is coming back, due to stress, I believe), and the side effects of the drugs.

Belle -- Thank you for listening. Let me know how you are doing. I'll try to be a better correspondent.

HUGS, Amy C in LA

Hi Amy,

I just wanted to say hello to you and let you know i'm thinking of you.We haven't chatted for a while and i hope you are well and not in too much pain. You are always in my thoughts and prayers my friend and i just wanted you to know this.

I also try not to eat too much chicken as it always sets my endo off due to the high estrogen in it,i don't eat many eggs(1 every 3 months).I try and steer clear of too much dairy and preservatives and junk food and it has all helped me alot because as i said if i'm naughty i pay for it serverely, especially with IBS.I also don't eat much meat and i think this helps me also.I have mince meat once a month and take lots of iron tablets that are easy on my bowel and system. I just thought i would add my bit. Hugs and Pain Free Wishes To You Amy and Everyone Else,

Belle

meat or pork, only limited poultry (1x/week), and cut way back on dairy &
eggs. It helped for a while, but I was in pain again soon. I don't know
how much of the helping was wishful thinking and how much was actually
happening.
