Re: Depo Provera = Freedom At Last!!! Day 32 and having a ...nighFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Jul 25 11:17:16 2000
The second time I was on depo, I bled almost constantly for the 6 months I was on it. The first time, I was on it for just over 1 year, and didn't bleed even once. It's pretty touch & go, depending on the person. It's not uncommon to still get periods while on depo. My two experiences were the two ends of the spectrum, but neither is unheard of. There is nothing definite about it, and if your doctor told you so, either he/she was misinformed or overly hopeful. Are you still having excessive pain with your periods? -----Original Message----- From: anonymous@obgyn.net [mailto:anonymous@obgyn.net Sent: Monday, July 24, 2000 9:26 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ENDO Subject: Depo Provera = Freedom At Last!!! Day 32 and having a ...nightmare. :( After 32 two great days and being the best me I could be...I had to cold water rinse my brand new white panties due to...it, a period. DISGUSTING!!! I, at the age of 36 gave up my dreams of having children and wanted to live the rest of my life pain and period free. What a disappointment!!! I know one period doesn't spoil the whole treatment but now I'm worried that I will have to deal with the monthly mess again and again after my doctor promised me it was over. Anyone else have periods with Depo Provera, please advise me. Jessi
