Bridgette, Your doctor is wrong to ignore your symptoms. I agree a new doctor is warranted. I hope you have better luck with the next doctor. I'm new to this forum, and I have a situation that I'd like some advice on... I had the laprascopic surgery thing a year and a half ago, and started having pain again about a month ago. Unfortunately, during that year and a half interlude, I moved, and have switched doctors. When I went to the doctor today, (the second time I've seen this one), he gave me a rectal exam as well as the "normal" exam. Since I'm only 26, this was a new, and extremely discomforting experience for me. Is this normal? He also "pooh-pooh"ed my symptoms, and told me to try more lubrication. Am I wrong in thinking that I need a new doctor? (I don't mean to sound naive, but I'm very weirded out about this.)
