Re: Questions about Lupron???From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jul 6 10:08:35 2000
Hello ladies -- I realize it's been awhile since I've written -- I've been quite busy with work. I just (about 1 hour ago) had my 2nd Lupron shot. I think it is really working for me. I have had minimal side effects (3 hot flashes), and I have only taken pain pills twice in the last 2 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is actually working for me. On a down note, though -- I need a new doctor. I am not happy with the doc OR his office. When I was trying to switch my pain meds, they gave me the complete run around, and didn't even want to tell me what I was being switched to. That makes me so mad!!! I would call them & they would tell me to have my pharmacy call in to switch my scrip. When I asked what I was being switched to the nurse actually said, "What do you need to know that for?" Well -- I did need to know because they switched me to Darvocet & that makes me quite ill (a fact which is in my medical chart). It took me 3 weeks to get a perscription changed, and they were very rude. Another nurse said that I really didn't need any pain meds since I only had Endometriosis, and I should be fine. That made me so mad I could've strangled her (good thing it was a phone conversation). Anyway, all in all, things are looking up now. Take care everyone. Amy in LA
