Re: [Lupron (There are endo success stories)]From: Lina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Feb 29 15:53:43 2000
Well, I saw my gyn this afternoon, and he showed me the pictures of my endo. I also have hormone imbalance but we didn't talk about that. He tried talking me into taking Lupron, but I weined and complained about what I heard. He said if it hasn't worked for many women, it would have been pulled out of circulation. Also, my cousin told my sister of a new treatment for endo, which will not work for women who are trying to get pregnant. They will insert some kind of baloon in the uttress which will coat the inside of it with some kind of medicine. I didn't get the name of the treatment, but it might be worth checking for the ladies who don't mind not getting pregnant. My gyn also wants me to get pregnant after a year (I am really not ready for a kid right now). What we decided to do is take the birth control pills none stop, i.e. when I get to the sugar pills, I will start a new pack. I hope this will do the trick. I can't afford taking Lupron and having it affecting me too much that I can't do my job, or snap at the wrong person and end up getting fired. I still have pain in my stomach from the surgery and I can't wear my cloth any more. I can't sleep either, I am not sure if the pain medicine has anything to do with the insomnia or not. I wish you ladies pain free nights and days. Lina
