Leah Update--Goodbye For Now--Long

From: Robert (anonymous@obgyn.net)

Hi Everyone: Sorry I haven't been on in such a long while. Life has been very hectic and I've been extremely busy with job hunting. Have gone out for many interviews but haven't been offered anything yet. Am trying my hardest to stay optimistic. Will resort to an employment agency by the middle of March if nothing pans out. I saw my new primary care doctor on 2/18/2000. He's absolutely awesome. He ran liver panel blood work to see how my liver functions were doing. Got the results this week. The liver functions are perfectly normal. Yeah!!! I was to see my new gyn on 2/15/200 but had to cancel at the last minute as Bob wasn't feeling all that well. I have rescheduled to 3/6/2000. Am hoping that he's a fantastic doc. The new primary care doc said he is an endo expert so I guess I researched up a really good doc. Endo pain and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) pain continue. Migraines are hanging around, especially when I start stressing about the lack of job. Darvon is still working well for the Endo pain but doesn't do much for the Migraines. Have a call into my new primary care doc to get better meds for migraines. Bob has been doing okay. He was on high doses of prednisone (steroids) for a little bit under a month. He sees his ENT surgeon on 3/7/2000 and will hopefully (I am certainly praying for this one) remove the tracheotomy. Due to his immune system being down with the steroid use he has a cold. He's resting well. Anyway, the cancer check and tracheotomy removal may occur on 3/7/2000. I hope all remains clear as my energy reserves are somewhat low with being so busy. We got ourselves a little puppy on 2/12/2000. She is now an almost eight week old Italian Greyhound. She weighs just under three pounds and is an absolute sweetie. We named her Annie. This breed is truly known for being "companion" dogs. She loves Bob which was the primary goal as Bob will be home alone when I return to work. As an adult she will weigh between 8-12 pounds and stand between 13-17 inches tall. We have fallen in love with her. She keeps us busy though. It's almost as bad as having a baby to get up to at night as we need to run her to the "potty" at least two times during the night. In addition, she's very insistent that we start our day at 4:30 each morning. I let her up to go potty at 4:30 but then I insist that she allow us to sleep until 6:30. No easy task, believe me. We're hoping to bring our cockateil bird home in early March. It should be interesting to see how the pup and the bird get along. We had my nine year old niece (Joanna) up all of last week during her winter break. She was lots of fun to have around and was able to help us with the pup. She went home on Saturday and we certainly miss her. Her mom has agreed to allowing us to have Joanna for a month during the summer. We can't wait. We want to take her into the hills to go gold panning. We have so much to explore being in our new home in the Sacramento, California area. We're just waiting for the spring/summer weather to arrive to explore in a greater way. I certainly will miss all of you and welcome your emails to my private email address. I will remove myself from the endo "mailing" list sometime tonight. I will stay in touch with those that I am closest to. I have most of those email addresses. Should you want me to stay in touch with you please email me your address and I will keep you updated as to how life is going for us here in cold, wet, drafty Northern California. Wishing you all painfree days and much restful, peaceful sleep at night. I send all my healing wishes to all those that are going through rough times right now and sending speedy recovery wishes to those that have recently had surgery. Take care and thanks for the friendships that you have given me since October of last year. Many blessings to all--God bless--love ya, Leah S. bobsmountain@compaq.net P.S. As you can figure. I will be unable to be at the walk in Washington, DC. Hoping you all have a wonderful time. Take care!!!
