Suzy Yes it is a prescription sleep aid. They come in different strengths. I have taken the 10mg but right now I am only using the 5mg since I also have to take the pain meds. My doctor told me that it was non habit forming like narcotics but you still have to be careful as with any drug like that. I have taken them for weeks though and had no withdrawl symptoms and I also never woke up w/ a headache or anything else like you get w/ tylenol pm etc.. Hope this helps.
